Annual Competition
The Falkland Shears Annual Shearing and Wool Handling Competition returns in 2025 and will be held alongside the inaugural Falkland Islands Tri-Nations Test Match on Friday 14th November 2025, making this year a landmark moment for the shearing and wool handling community. With the support of Falkland Shears’ principal sponsor, Dedicare, the event continues its long tradition of showcasing the skill, speed and dedication of the shearers and wool handlers from across the Falkland Islands and beyond.
Competitor entries are now open, with a £20 entry fee per category. Entries will close on Monday 20th October 2025, although additional entries may be taken on the day if sheep numbers allow. On Friday 14th November 2025, the Falkland Islands Tri-Nations Test Match will take place alongside the Falkland Shears Annual Shearing and Wool Handling Competition.
All-day spectator tickets will be available on the door at £10 per person. The ticket entitles each spectator to attend and enjoy the following items included in the ticket price:
